Learn to use your embroidery features and on-screen editing on your machine. A must for new embroidery machine owners! Bring machine, emb. unit, & accessories
Hoop ‘n Holler— $35 for the kit of fabrics and all the stabilizers
Friday April 30th @ 12:30 - For anyone who wants to know the correct hooping and stabilization of hard to handle fabrics. A very intensive class, but very useful. Do not miss. Bring machine, emb. unit, & accessories.
Know Your Sewing Machine part 1—no charge to anyone that has purchased from Fonder’s
Friday May 14th @ 12:30pm or Monday June 28th @ 6:30pm- Don’t keep your new machine in a box under the bed, come on in and learn to use it. A fun, easy class with lots of tips. Bring machine and all accessories to class.
Know your Serger - No charge if you have purchased your machine from us
Wednesday June 16th @ 12:30pm - This is great for new serger owners who need to learn about there new machine and also pick up on some quick and easy tricks, it is also a great refresher class if your serger has been sitting in your closet for the past year or two.
Windows for Bimbos—$40, laptop is optional
A crucial class for anyone doing embroidery and wanting to get more out of their machine. We will be learning windows techniques geared to the embroidery machine. Do yourself a favor and take the frustration out of the computer.
Digitizing 123 with PE Design—$50
Bring a laptop with the program already installed, & sack lunch. Intense hands-on class really gets you digitizing. We will cover some new features, if you have had the class before, this is a different game plan. Put on your big girl panties and do it!
Know Your Sewing Machine part 2—$15 kit fee
July 12th @ 6:30pm - bring your machine and all of its accessories A very fun class, showing you the use of double needles, wing needles, couching on fun trims, and so much more. Take your sewing to another level.
LongArm Quilting—$50 if you have purchased a machine from us
Intense hands-on class with loads of information. Lots of background fills and feathering techniques. Quilting on a frame could not be easier. Useful class for anyone quilting on any brand frame system. Take the mystery out of tension. This is a class for anyone wanting to perfect their skills.
Quilting with your home sewing machine—$35 supplies included
If you don’t have a longarm and a frame system, let us show you how to take the fear out of free motion quilting. Learn the basics to complete your own small projects.
If you are interested in taking any of our educational classes but did not purchase your machine from us you are more than welcome but the class fee will be different.
For all educational classes you are required to bring your machine and all accessories.
Other Classes
Sewing/Quilting/Embroidery Club- June 12th and July 10th @ 10:30-noon
Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend. Learn about upcoming classes, new product and ideas, learn a new technique with a handout so you can go home and try it, etc. Sign up for a year membership for $25 or just come for one morning for $5.
Beginners Garment Sewing - This is a 4 part class - Monday evenings May 10th, 17th, 24th and June7th @ 6:30pm or Wednesday evenings July 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th @ 6:30pm
Want to sew your own garments? This is your chance. Learn how the easy way....by doing it yourself! Each week you will be actually sewing: waistbands, zippers, necklines, sleeves, facings, etc. Practice all the skill needed to finish professional looking garments. All supplies are included and we also furnish the sewing machines! Bring your own scissors and glass head pins. Class space is limited, so hurry to sign up and either get back into or get started sewing!
Beginners Youth Sewing Camp - ages 9-17, Monday June 7th - Thursday June 10th @ 10:30am-1pm
Learn the basics and how to operate our sewing machines then start and finish a Tote Bag, Pillow Case, & an Ipod or cell phone bag. Join in the fun, this class fills fast. Some supplies will be needed so stop by to sign up your daughter/son and get your supply list today! Learn the basics and have fun doing it. $100
Intermediate Youth Sewing Camp - ages 9-17 Monday June 21st - Thursday June 24th @ 10:30am-1pm
Anyone who has completed the beginners camp is welcome to take it to the next level. We will complete an appliqued wall hanging or pillow, a tote bag (different from beginners) with a photo transfer. These are projects jam packed with all kinds of different techniques you will be able to use on any project. Some supplies will be needed so pick up your supply list today. We furnish the sewing machines. Don't miss this, all new projects! $100
Feather Frenzy Workshop - July 24th 10:30am-2:30pm
This is an intense class for anyone who has had some basics on the longarm already and is ready to take their quilting to the next level. A drawing and hands-on class. Learn lots of tips on feathering anywhere on your quilt and in any space. We have had many requests for this and now its here! Class space size is limited so sign up now! $75
Monogram Works and Desingers Gallery - Monday July 26th @ 6:30pm
Need a quick monogrammed gift with out all the fuss and headaches? This is it! Fonts and embellishments all in one easy stand alone program. Great for someone who doesn't have a lot of skills on the computer but wants to sew out flawless results. An affordable program to use with any embroidery machine. Lecture Demo class so you don't need to bring anything. Finally, an easy monogram program for everyone! No Charge but you MUST sign up.
Sewing with your feet cost - $25
This class will teach you to use all of the EXTRA feet you can use with your machine.
Demo introduction to BES Lettering Software - cost - $15
Come in and see if this new lettering software is for you, very easy and user friendly. If you do a lot of lettering with your embroidery machine lettering software is a must have!
Apron Delight cost - $25
Join us and make this fun apron in class. Sherry will have some "extras" to add on the pattern. Make one for yourself and/or a gift for someone else.
Painted Fabric Class -
This is a 2 part class
Join Kathy for a painting class and learn this fun technique to use on your projects. Everything will be supplied and available for purchase after class. This has been a big hit, come in and see some of our samples.
Kitchen Appliance Covers - $25
Make your own appliance covers with Sherry, she will help you customize your own design. You will applique, and or embroider. Call for class list.
Introducing Heirloom Sewing - cost - $40
In the morning you will make samples of all techniques and in the afternoon you will make a small project using the new techniques you learned. Heirloom sewing is becoming very popular.
Photo Stitch - cost - $50
You will see how to scan photo's into your computer software program, digitize them and send them to your embroidery machine to sew out. Bring your laptop with PE Design installed. The Digitizing 123 class is required to take first.
