Corset Workshop
Have you ever wanted to learn to sew a corset? Have you made a corset but struggled through the process? In this 3-day hands on workshop, Ariana will guide you through the corset making process from start to finish. Learn about the correct fabrics, fitting, and construction. No matter your size or shape - you can make a corset that fits your body.
About the Educator: Ariana is a sewing teacher and award winning cosplayer from the St. Louis, MO area. She learned to sew at the age of 6 from her grandmother. Having worked in bridal, alterations, and custom clothing - Ariana is an expert in fitting and specializes in teaching people to sew for their body. She teaches in person and online both in groups and privately. Ariana is also a wife and mom two two middle school boys and loves to attend cons and compete in cosplay competitions with her family. Both of her boys and husband also make and compete in cosplay.What is provided in shop:

What you need to bring:
1 yard of fashion fabric for the outside of the corset. Recommended fabrics include: silks, lace, satin, moire, taffeta
2 spools of matching thread - use high quality all purpose thread such as Gutterman
Bias tape to match your fabric (your bust + hip measurement plus some extra for spare) or additional 1/2 yard of fashion fabric
Scissors - shears and small embroidery scissors
Glass head pins
Hand sewing needles
5 yards of corset lacing - satin ribbon, cording, etc.
Hand Embroidery thread (optional)
