Jacket and Slacks Beginner Sewing



In this class you will learn the basic sewing tools needed to construct a garment.

Different types of fabrics for your project.

"What is interfacing"?  different types of interfacings.

Instruction on how to read a pattern, sizing and layout.

Personal guidance in the construction of your "mock-up" garment during class.

At the end of the 2-session class you will leave with a completed prototype ready to go home and cut out your final fabric to make your outfit.

A kit will be provided that will include what you need to make your mock-up during class. This is included in the cost of the class fee.


No sewing experience needed. Machines will also be provided for use during class. Please bring basic sewing supplies, fabric shears, long straight pins, seam ripper. Any of these supplies are sold in our shop if you don't have these items.
