Beginner Sewing: Create Your Own Duffle Bag

In this beginner-friendly sewing course, students will learn the foundational skills needed to create a functional and stylish duffle bag from start to finish. Perfect for those new to sewing or looking to build confidence with structured projects, this class guides participants step-by-step through the entire construction process.

Students will learn how to read and understand a simple pattern, measure and cut fabric accurately, pin and sew straight seams, install zippers, attach straps, and construct a lined cylindrical bag with boxed or circular ends. Along the way, essential sewing techniques such as seam finishing, topstitching, and reinforcing stress points will be introduced.

Bring a sack lunch and your basic sewing kit, pins, scissors, etc. We supply the Machines for your use.
